The Wall Street Journal has hired Pierre Bienaime as an audio producer in New York on the p.m. edition of What’s News.
His first experience with journalism involved reviewing video games and interviewing their creators.
Bienaime grew up in the Bay Area and interned at his hometown paper, the Palo Alto Weekly. He’s a graduate of the University of California at Santa Cruz and of the Columbia Journalism School, where he focused on radio, and has since produced audio for Slate, Digiday, Bustle, Deutsche Welle and PRX.
