WSJ hires Barnum on the education team

Matt Barnum, a national reporter at Chalkbeat, has left and joined The Wall Street Journal on the education team.

Previously, Barnum was a Spencer fellow in education journalism at Columbia University. He also worked as a staff writer at online audio and video media company The 74 Media in New York.

He also taught at Colorado Springs Harrison District 2 Schools.
