WSJ hires Albert as editor on speed and trending team

Victoria Albert

The Wall Street Journal has hired Victoria Albert to be an editor on its speed and trending team.

She is based in New York in New York.

Prior to joining the Journal, she worked as a senior breaking news editor at CBS News. She’s originally from Bedford, Mass., a small town north of Boston, but she earned her bachelor’s degree at Washington University in St. Louis and her master’s in journalism at New York University.

She also spent five months studying public health in northern Chile.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
