The Worcester Business Journal has hired Alexander McDougall to cover health care and diversity.
A story on its website states, “MacDougall, who obtained his bachelor’s degree from Worcester State University and master’s degree from Boston University, previously wrote as a freelancer for Worcester Magazine and as a staff reporter for the Bangor Daily News and its sister publication Houlton Pioneer Times in Maine.
“‘In less than a week, Alex has already proven himself a valuable addition to the WBJ Editorial staff,’ WBJ Editor Brad Kane said. ‘He has an enhanced skillset with data and visualizations, and he will greatly help WBJ’s audience further understand the Central Massachusetts market.’
“MacDougall, a resident of Mendon, started with WBJ on Wednesday and already produced stories on Reliant Medical Group’s suspension of adult patient intake and the opening of The Mercantile restaurant.”
