Wirecutter promotes Austin to associate staff writer

James Austin

The New York Times’ Wircutter has tapped James Austin as an associate staff writer covering hobbies and games.

Recently, he was an updates writer, writing short and long form copy to keep the buying advice updated.

Austin has been with Wirecutter since March 2015.

Before that, he was a web producer. Austin has also interned at the National Archives Foundation in Washington, D.C. and the Orlando Weekly.

Austin graduated from Valencia College in Orlando, Fla.
