What’s not to love? The energy, the front-row seat at the carnival, the steady diet of interesting people doing interesting things, and a job that provides a perfect cocktail of craft and cold facts.

Surprising readers — telling them something they don’t know but would want to know … and having readers surprise me with their stories.
A story I have worked on that has had a lasting impact on me
A project I wrote a few years ago with a colleague, John Futty, about people who were being scammed out of money due them in the foreclosure process. I like to think that story made a difference.
