Aleksandra Sagan, the British Columbia correspondent for The Logic, writes in an email to potential subscribers about what attracted her to the news organization.
Sagan writes, “I became a journalist to tell stories that make a difference in people’s lives. For nearly a decade, I reported on topics such as Indigenous land-rights battles and the rise of antibiotic-resistant illnesses. I then moved into business journalism to better understand the industries, companies and people shaping our collective future. After being at some of Canada’s biggest legacy newsrooms, I wanted to look deeper into how technology is changing the world.
“That’s why I joined The Logic.
“The publication and its editors promised me the time and space to find and tell stories that matter, rather than rush to print a story based on a press release or an earnings call.”
