Weltman departs WSJ for VP job at CNN

Ben Weltman, deputy head of video at The Wall Street Journal, has left to become a vice president at CNN overseeing streaming and video-on-demand efforts.

He had been with The Journal since November 2018 and was overseeing production, operations, finance for the department.

Weltman previously spent 12 years at NBC, including time as a producer for “Dateline” and “Hardball with Chris Matthews.”

He is a graduate of American University.
