Washington Post reporter Faiz Siddiqui is now covering the Department of Government Efficiency overseen by billionaire Elon Musk.
For the past year, he has been on the business investigations team, exploring the vast empire of Elon Musk.
Siddiqui was previously on The Post’s technology team. As a reporter covering the gig economy and autonomous driving in San Francisco, Faiz wrote extensively about Uber, revealing how steep fares induced by pandemic-era driver shortages were not benefiting workers and how the company’s IPO celebrations got out of hand.
Before joining the tech team, Siddiqui covered transportation for the Local desk for four years. He started at The Post as an intern in the class of 2015.
His book “Hubris Maximus: The Shattering of Elon Musk,” will be published next month and is a look at Musk through the lens of his management and business practices.
Siddiqui is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in journalism.
