Derek Wallbank has been tapped by Bloomberg News to steer coverage of the U.S. government and the Trump administration in West Coast and East Asia hours.
He will move to San Francisco in July. His title is senior editor.
Wallbank has been managing editor of breaking news for South/Southeast Asia and Australia and New Zealand.
He joined Bloomberg in 2011 as a U.S. Congress reporter. He also was a team leader in Washington.
Wallbank moved to Singapore in 2019 as a senior editor.
