Stewart focused her coverage of how markets affect people in their everyday lives. Stewart launched and was the author of a monthly newsletter, “The Big Squeeze,” examining the ways ordinary people are being squeezed under capitalism and the scams — legal and illegal — that are constantly trying to sucker us
She joined Vox in 2017 as a reporter with a focus on politics, breaking news and business. She then served as a business and politics reporter. Recently, she served as a senior reporter covering business and the economy.
She was also a political reporter at TheStreet.com and a digital content producer at NY1 News.
Stewart graduated from Columbia University.
