Vox senior reporter covering climate Rebecca Leber was among those laid off from the publication on Thursday.
Leber previously worked at Mother Jones where she spent more than four years working as a reporter on the climate and environment beat. Before that, she was a news editor at Grist managing its political and news coverage.
She was also a staff writer at The New Republic writing for the magazine and website. She also anchored its climate and environmental coverage. She has also worked as a political reporter at ThinkProgress.
Leber is a B.A. in political science and journalism from University of Rochester.
