Veteran Reuters journalist Pattanaik leaving after 25 years

Swaha Pattanaik

Swaha Pattanaik, global economics editor at Reuters Breakingviews in London, is leaving to join the recently-created Amundi Institute as the head of publishing and digital strategy.

Her new role begins in June.

She has previously written columns on financial markets, economics, commodities, mining companies and European exchanges and served as an associate editor.

Previously, she has also worked as a FX correspondent, head of FX reporting, European economic affairs correspondent, senior economics correspondent for France, specialist sub-editor and EMEA financial markets editor at Reuters.

She was also a foreign exchange correspondent covering IMF, trade, and G7 finance officials’ meetings at Bloomberg. She has also edited for Euromoney.

Pattanaik has a BSc. from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a MSc. from Birkbeck, University of London.
