Michael Nuñez has been hired by Venture Beat to be its editorial director.
He most recently has been at Playground Global as a senior marketing manager.
Nuñez previously was an associate editor at Forbes, a deputy tech editor at Mashable and tech editor at Gizmodo. He also worked at Popular Science and Newsweek.
He is a University of Missouri graduate.
