Velasco departs the WSJ for McClatchy

Haley Velasco

Haley Velasco, a social media editor at The Wall Street Journal, has left after five years.

Previously, she served as a digital publishing editor and digital production assistant at the Journal.

She has joined McClatchy as an audience engagement manager.

She worked freelance for The Drum, Vox Media and The New York Times. She interned at USA Today and Yahoo.

Velasco graduated from Cornell University and has a master’s degree from Northwestern University.
