Variety has promoted Rachel Seo to social media editor.
A story on its website states, “Seo joined Variety in July 2022 after working in event marketing for ViacomCBS’ VidCon live media division. She’s been a pillar of the team that has boosted Variety‘s social media footprint to more than 12 million total followers as of this month across TikTok, X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other outlets.
“‘Rachel’s understanding of editorial growth and engagement with Variety’s audience is only matched by her great attitude and willingness to embrace new ideas,’ said William Earl, editor of Variety.com. ‘We’re excited to elevate her role in leading our social media strategies as we further expand our footprint and take our editorial work to new creative heights.’
“In her previous role as social media coordinator, Seo crafted as many as 50 posts per day for the range of digital, print, video, podcast live stream and live events published and produced year-round by Variety.”
