Scott Miller, the business editor of the Vail Daily in Colorado, has retired.
Sean Naylor of The Daily writes, “But with 35 years of reporting history in this valley and more than two decades of them spent with the Vail Daily, Miller’s archive never contained the very character this story will highlight.
“‘You know I’ve never wanted to put me into it. It’s always been about telling the story, which I think is how it ought to be,’ he said. ‘It’s never been about me.’
“Well, Miller — this one’s all about you, bud.
“Raised in the Front Range and a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, Miller’s tale of coming to Eagle County is not too different from others in the sense that, well, he had to come from somewhere.”
