The Triangle Business Journal has hired Ben Tobin to cover commercial real estate and economic development.
He has been covering Wal-Mart and other large retailers for Business Insider.
“I’ve deeply missed local news. I cannot wait to roll up my sleeves and work with such a talented team,” wrote Tobin on Twitter.
Tobin has been a business reporter at the Louisville Courier-Journal. While at the Courier-Journal, he was part of a reporting team that won a Pulitzer Prize for its work investigating former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin’s controversial pardons and commutations.
He is a University of Virginia graduate, where he majored in political honors and media studies.
