Triad Biz Journal hires Egan as a reporter

Lilly Egan

Lilly Egan has been hired by the Triad Business Journal in North Carolina as a reporter.

She will start Nov. 30 and will cover  real estate, sports business, retail and restaurants.

Egan interned this summer at The (Raleigh) News & Observer on the business news desk as a Dow Jones News Fund intern. In Summer 2022, she interned at the Triangle Business Journal.

She is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she majored in media and journalism in the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media with a second major in global studies.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
