Washington Post transportation reporter Luz Lazo is leaving the news organization at the end of the year.
She has been focused on covering the nation’s railroads, highways and bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.
Lazo has been a reporter for The Post since 2011. She also contributes to the coverage of the region’s Hispanic population and immigrant communities.
A native of El Salvador, she grew up in Washington, D.C., and received undergraduate and graduate degrees at American University.
