Karen Amanda Toulon has left Bloomberg after 22 years with the company. Recently, she served as host – Black in Focus/chief correspondent, equality. She was also a senior writer, equality.
She was also a senior editor, a role in which she worked worldwide with 2,700 cross-platform print journalists, researchers and broadcast staff in 120 countries, providing on-air coaching, interview/panel prep and content development to enhance Bloomberg’s staff skills and coverage of global events.
She has also held various other roles, including serving as executive editor for Global Newsmakers, New York bureau chief, team leader: broadcast affiliates, broadcast interviews and newsmaker interviews.
Toulon was earlier with Reuters for 4 years, where she served as managing editor – Reuters Financial TV/Americas and as deputy editor. She has also worked at CNBC, AT&T, and CBS News.
Toulon has a B.A. in English literature from Dartmouth College and a M.S. in broadcast journalism from Columbia University – Graduate School of Journalism.
