Toronto Star hires WSJ’s Amiri as a reporter

Ehsanullah Amiri

Ehsanullah Amiri has joined The Toronto Star as a reporter.

Amiri was a Kabul-based correspondent at The Wall Street Journal since 2013.

Before that, he was a senior current affairs producer at Afghanistan’s news channel, Tolo News. He was a researcher at the Kabul Center for Strategic Studies, where he reported on Afghanistan’s security, human rights and political affairs.

Amiri graduated from Kabul University.
