Today’s big story: Is CNN finally ready to move on under its new CEO?

TBN has big news: Mark Thompson (pictured), former chief executive of The New York Times and director-general of the BBC, will be CNN’s next leader. Warner Discovery CEO David Zaslav effusively praised Thompson, but as Zaslav himself is so disrespected (an “antihero,” according to a new New Yorker piece), maybe there’s more housecleaning in order.
