‘Today’ show’s weekend co-anchor, AP pols promotion, NBC Sports move in San Fran

NBC News has appointed Laura Jarrett (pictured) as co-anchor of the “Today” show’s Saturday edition. Elsewhere, the AP has promoted Nomaan Merchant to U.S. politics editor, while Jordan Elliott will join NBC Sports Bay Area after a stint at SBNation.
