Matt Rosoff
The Register has hired longtime tech journalist Matt Rosoff to be its deputy editor in chief.
He will start next month. The Register is a publication aimed at IT professionals.
Rosoff had been TechCrunch global managing editor before leaving earlier this year. He previously was editorial director of tech and climate coverage for CNBC Digital. He had been at CNBC for seven years.
Rosoff is based in San Francisco. He worked previously as an executive editor at Business Insider and editorial director at IDG Enterprise, and spent 10 years as an IT industry analyst for Directions on Microsoft.
He started his career in 1995 at CNET after graduating from Williams College.
