Real estate news publication The Real Deal has hired Alissa Gary to cover South Florida.
She has been interning at The Oregonian this summer.
She previously interned at the Orlando Sentinel and The Chronicle of Higher Education.
Gary is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she was editor in chief of the Independent Florida Alligator. She also was managing editor of Atrium Magazine.
