The Messenger taps Kopecki to serve as deputy biz editor

Dawn Kopecki

Dawn Kopecki has joined soon-to-launch news outlet The Messenger as deputy business editor.

Recently, she was a senior editor for politics, health and science, and investigations at CNBC.

Kopecki joined CNBC in June 2018 as deputy companies editor. She then served as a senior editor for health and science, and transportation and industrials. She also worked on CNBC’s content diversity, equity and inclusion task force.

She was also chosen for Hearst’s prestigious year-long executive management training program for top leaders across the corporation and served as the business editor of the San Antonio Express-News.

She also wrote for Bloomberg and was a correspondent at BusinessWeek. She also reported for The Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones.

Kopecki has a B.A. in journalism from Penn State University.
