News startup The Messenger has hired Abram Brown to be deputy editor of its science and technology coverage.
He has been at The Information as a staff editor on its weekend magazine, covering wealth, power and technology and how those shape culture and the world.
Brown had previously been at Forbes since January 2012. He has been deputy chief of reporters, associate editor, editorial operations manager, and a senior editor.
He has covered digital culture and social media, particularly TikTok, the NFT boom, the creator economy, and YouTube and technology in the COVID era.
Brown is a Syracuse University graduate.
