News startup The Messenger has hired Justin Bachman to cover airlines.
He previously was an aviation and aerospace reporter based in Dallas at Bloomberg News and Businessweek.
Bachman covered airlines, general aviation, NASA, the commercial space industry, defense, and commercial drones. He was also deputy news director at Businessweek.com.
Previously, he was a supervisory editor for the Associated Press in the business news department in New York for four years, and was a financial reporter in the AP’s Atlanta bureau from 1998 through 2002.
He has also worked for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
