The Information has shifted Jon Victor to the enterprise artificial intelligence beat, which includes companies such as Oracle and Salesforce.

He has been covering Alphabet, the parent company of Google, since joining The Information in 2022.

Victor previously covered fintech, banking and payments, including public companies like Lightspeed and Nuvei, for The Logic. His beat encompasses how Canada’s financial institutions are innovating, the emergence of new players in the space and the shaping of the rules that govern the country’s financial sector.

He was previously a business reporter for The Canadian Press, and before that covered cryptocurrency for The Information.
