The Information has promoted reporter Kaya Yurieff to team leader, focusing on focusing on shaping its creator economy coverage and growing the franchise.

Yurieff will continue to write its creator economy newsletter.

She joined the company three years ago. Yurieff had been a technology reporter at CNN for the past four years, where she reported on social media platforms, content creators and gig economy workers, including the popularity of LinkedIn influencersYouTube creator burnout and Instacart tip baiting.

Previously, she covered spot news for The Street.

She grew up outside Burlington, Vermont, and graduated from George Washington University.
