The Information names Weinberg deputy bureau chief of finance

Cory Weinberg

Tech news site The Information has promoted Cory Weinberg to deputy bureau chief of finance coverage.

He has been a senior reporter covering initial public offerings. He has been at The Information for eight years.

Weinberg was part of The Information team that won the SABEW Best in Business Award in 2021 for coverage of startups and tech workers amid the onset of COVID-19.

He previously worked at the San Francisco Business Times and was a Knight-Bagehot fellow in 2021-22.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
