He has been a deputy editor at The Messenger for the past six months.
He previously had been at The Information to work on its weekend magazine, covering wealth, power and technology and how those shape culture and the world.
Brown previously had been at Forbes since January 2012. He has been deputy chief of reporters, associate editor, editorial operations manager, and a senior editor.
Brown is a Syracuse University graduate.
