The Hub hires Argitis as editor at large

Theo Argitis

The Hub has hired Theo Argitis as editor at large for business and economics coverage.

He has been managing director of Compass Rose.

Argitis previously was the Ottawa bureau chief for Bloomberg News, where he worked for nearly 24 years. Argitis previously was a reporter for Bloomberg in Athens, Greece.

He was also business news editor for the Athens News and managing editor for New Europe in Athens.

Argitis holds a bachelor’s degree from McGill University and a master’s from the University of Toronto.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
