The Atlantic has hired Kristen V. Brown as a staff writer.
Brown has been at Bloomberg News, where she has been covering genetics, biohacking, vaccine psychology, and reproductive health, among others.
Brown’s reporting on major health companies has led her to chart the rise of Hims and the fall of 23andMe. This summer, she launched “Misconception,” a podcast series about her own journey through the fertility industry.
Brown previously was a tech reporter at Gizmodo and the San Francisco Chronicle. She also covered education for the Albany Times-Union.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s degree from Columbia University.
