Washington Post tech reporter Heather Kelly was among the layoffs on Wednesday.
She has been covering the ways technology affects everyday life, from family to finances. Based in San Francisco, she joined The Post in 2019 after seven years at CNN, where she worked as a writer and editor.
Before joining CNN, she worked at Macworld. She was also a senior editor at Venture Beat.
Kelly received her bachelor’s degree in journalism at New York University. She spent much of her childhood in Oklahoma, where she was the editor of her high school paper.
