Semafor tech reporter Rachyl Jones is leaving the news organization for a job on the West Coast.
Her coverage has focused on the intersection of culture and technology, especially AI, humanoid robots, and quantum computing.
Previously, she was a tech reporting fellow at Fortune and a media reporter at the Observer, where she more closely covered social media and television.
Jones graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in English (with a focus on creative writing), then earned my master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
