
Tech reporter Brian Fung has joined Google as an external communications manager.
For the past nine months, he’s been running an independent livestreaming channel on Twitch that combines gaming content with real-time conversations about tech and media. He left CNN at the end of last year after spending five years covering tech, business and policy.
Fung previously covered business and technology for The Washington Post. Before joining The Post, he was the technology correspondent for National Journal and an associate editor at The Atlantic. He speaks two dialects of Chinese and is a native of the nation’s capital.
He is a graduate of Middlebury College and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
