Tax Notes hires CNN’s Lobosco

Katie Lobosco

Tax Notes has hired Katie Lobosco to cover tax policy.

She has been writing for CNN Politics, focusing on how economic policy decisions made in Washington affect people across the country.

Previously, she covered consumer finance for CNN Business, including the impacts of the 2017 federal tax reform, the massive Equifax data breach, and how Americans are struggling to pay down their student debt.

Before joining CNN in 2013, Lobosco was a reporter for a local New Jersey newspaper, The Coast Star.

She’s a graduate of Gettysburg College and holds a master’s degree in business journalism from New York University.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
