Takeo moves to editing role on Asia econ desk at Bloomberg

Yuko Takeo

Yuko Takeo is becoming an editor on the Asia economy desk at Bloomberg News.

She has been an economy reporter covering Japan’s Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Japan and other topics since September 2017.

Before that, Takeo covered the European Central Bank in Frankfurt and was a reporter on the Asia stocks team.

She has also been a researcher for The Wall Street Journal and an intern at Reuters and Asahi Shimbun.

Takeo holds a bachelor’s degree from Sophia University and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
