Sutton to co-author Politico’s “Morning Money” newsletter

Sam Sutton

Politico reporter Sam Sutton will now co-author its “Morning Money” newsletter with Kate Davidson.

He is a financial services reporter for Politico Pro, covering fintech and digital currencies. He previously covered New Jersey health care policy, hospitals and the state’s insurance market.

He will continue to cover fintech and crypto while increasing his coverage of asset managers.

Prior to Politico, Sutton reported on the private equity industry and public pension funds for Buyouts Magazine and Private Equity International. Sutton started his career as an intern covering crime, housing and county fairs for The Oakland Tribune and other Bay Area News Group publications.

Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
