The St. Louis Business Journal has hired Judy Lucas to cover restaurants and retail.
Lucas writes, “I graduated from the Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia last May, where I spent most of my time learning the ropes of political and enterprise, investigative reporting. For three of those years I commuted to Jefferson City to report on the chaos that is the Missouri House and Senate for the Columbia Missourian newspaper.
“In the summer of 2021, I was an editorial intern at the Riverfront Times, where I first had the opportunity to report on my hometown. I also spent four months in Barcelona, Spain, where I interned for a photojournalism organization called Ruido Photo, with ties to National Geographic. There, I translated hundreds of long-form articles from Spanish to English, mainly about the immigration crisis in Europe and Africa.
“I was born and raised in St. Louis, grew up in Richmond Heights, and attended St. Joseph’s Academy in high school.”
