The Sports Business Journal has hired Rachel Axon as a full-time staff writer to cover the Olympics.
She has been a long-term freelancer for the American City Business Journals publication the past eight months.
Axon previously covered the Olympics for USA Today, where she was also a sports investigative reporter. She also worked at NBC Sports, the Orlando Sentinel and the Wilmington Star-News in North Carolina.
She is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University.
