The editing structure at Sports Business Journal has changed with new titles and a few new staffers.
Here is the new leadership team under Josh Barnett as managing director:
Director, Print Products David Bourne, formerly assistant managing editor;
Director, Digital Products Nick Veronica, formerly director of engagement and home page editor;
Director, Editions Rick Ellington, from managing editor of editions;
Director, Tech and Women’s Sports Content Jenn Azara, from managing editor of tech;
Director, Editorial Products Cody Snyder, from director of audience engagement;
Director, Social Media Kami Mattioli;
Senior Planning Editor Betty Gomes, from assistant managing editor;
Senior Planning Editor Joe Lago; and
Senior Planning Editor Mike Sherman.
Lago, formerly the managing editor at Yahoo with time at The Athletic, Bally Sports and ESPN.com, is a new hire as is Sherman, most recently as deputy content strategist for college coverage in the Midwest with the USA Today Sports Network. He is previously the sports editor of The Oklahoman, The Tampa Bay Times and a former APSE president.
