S&P Global hires Elsberry to cover bank deals

Audrey Elsberry

S&P Global Market Intelligence has hired Audrey Elsberry as its bank deals reporter.

She has been at the Greater Wilmington Business Journal in North Carolina as a reporter.

Elsberry was an intern on the Charlotte Observer business news desk as a Dow Jones News Fund intern.

She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she worked at The Daily Gamecock, the student newspaper, as outreach director and opinion editor, among other duties.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
