Song joins Carbon Brief as section editor for China

Wanyuan Song

Carbon Brief has hired Wanyuan Song as China section editor.

Recently, she was a China researcher and reporter at BBC News.

Song freelanced for the BBC, The Economist, The Athletic and MailOnline. Previously, Song worked as a newsroom research and China and Africa analyst and researcher at BBC News. She was also a multimedia journalist at BBC Global News.

She was a trainee at Press Association. Song has a B.A. from the University of Leicester and a M.A. from SOAS University of London.
