Nelly M. Ontiveros Cervantes, a social media editor The Wall Street Journal, was among the layoffs at the publication earlier this week.
She has been at The Journal for the past year. She served as the editor in chief of NSM Today, which is run by journalism major students at the University of Central Florida’s Nicholson School of Communication.
She interned at the Orlando Sentinel, The Wall Street Journal and the Orlando Weekly.
Cervantes has a B.A. in journalism from the University of Central Florida.
