Smith joins Sifted as a senior reporter

Tim Smith

Tim Smith has joined Sifted full-time as a senior reporter. For the past four years, he was working freelance for Sifted from Barcelona.

As a full-time staffer, he will cover stories from Spain, Portugal and other areas. He will also continue to help run and grow the Sifted Podcast, which covers news from European tech and startups. Smith also worked freelance for the BBC and DW.

He was also a producer at BBC World Service. He was also a podcast intern at The Guardian.

Smith has a B.A. from the University of Bristol and a M.A. from City University of London.
