Sherwood Media has hires Matt Phillips from Axios to be its senior markets correspondent.
Phillips has been working for Axios since December 2021 as the co-author of the daily morning “Axios Markets” newsletter and covering the latest market trends and economic insights.
From 2018 to 2021, Phillips has worked for The New York Times, covering financial markets. Phillips previously served as editor in chief at Vice Money and was a founding staffer at Quartz.
He was also a reporter at the Bakersfield Californian and the Albany Business Review.
