Muyao Shen has joined Bloomberg News as a crypto and decentralized finance reporter.
She comes from CoinDesk, where she was a senior markets reporter and markets reporter.
Prior to joining CoinDesk, Shen was a price reporter at Fastmarkets in New York. She has also interned at CoinDesk and was a news assistant at NOS, travelling to report stories for its East Asia bureau. She has also worked freelance.
Shen has also interned at NPR and China Press in New York.
Shen earned her bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and an M.S. in business reporting and data journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
